Promises of God
What is a promise? God is expressing His absolute trustworthy word. In each promise God is speaking His word - His honor and integrity are at stake. Promises of God are the heart of the Bible.

There is confusion about God's promises and the way He keeps them.

Faulty Expectations - thinking that God will keep His promises in a way that we want and think He should. God really wants us to see that His promises can be fulfilled in His ways.

Faulty Interpretations and Applications - We miss the point of the promise.  Failure to understand the promise in its context can lead to some very bad conclusions.

Faulty Feelings - we balme God for the death of someone, injustice in the world or our physical pain.

Let us not forget what God has already done for you and how in your lives He has fulfilled promises in the past.

Don't launch your hopes on some political person for the redemption of our country.

God keeps His promises on His terms, to His intended audience, by His own method and in His own time.
